JAPAN EDIT — MIDNIGHT TSUBAKI URUSHI LACQUER HAIRPIN

Japanese kanzashi hair ornament lacquered in black with a camellia (tsubaki) motif made of mother of pearl and gold leaf detailing on a deep black ground. The silhouette is beautifully architectural whilst the flower motif brings a sense of softness and duality. 

We chose this piece for its camellia, a symbol of femininity with presence, softness with structure, a quiet sense of grounding stillness.
